- Keep your battery in good shape. Clean the terminals (remove the clamps to wipe away grease, dirt, and oxidation). Drive your car regularly (leaving the car parked for long periods of time can drain the battery)
- Wiper blades should clear the glass without streaks, if they don’t it's probably time for new blades. Make sure the windshield wiper fluid levels are checked and filled.
- Give yourself extra time in the morning to remove snow and ice from vehicle. Use an ice scraper on frosty mornings to clear all the windows.
- Remove snow from all windows, rooftop and hood of the vehicle before driving. No one likes to be behind a driver with tons of snow on their roof. It can fall off during transit and be dangerous to other drivers on the road.
- Make sure the vehicle's lights are functioning properly.
